 you can see Korean history and culture?


Then, it is highly recommended to visit

 from the three old palaces of Seoul 

which preserved the beauty of Korea.

 

They are buildings of Korean traditional

beauty that can not be found in any

other countries.

 

 

[Must visit place in Seoul]

 

The three palaces are as follows;

Kyeongbokgung Palace, 

Deoksugung Palace, 
Changdeokgung Palace. 

 

Let me briefly introduce each palace

and give some useful tour information

such as opening hours, closed days,

admission fee and how to get there

by public transportation.

 

 

 

  ① Kyeongbokgung Palace

 

[Gyeongbokgung Palace]

Gyeongbokgung Palace

 is the greatest palace of Joseon Dynasty

that shows the importance of Joseon.

Also, It is the first palace built among

the five palaces of Joseon Dynasty.

 

 It was built in 1395 by King Taejo

Lee seonggye of Joseon.

 

 

 

[Gyeongbokgung Palace]

Most part of the palace were demolished

during the Japanese imperial era, but

 restoration projects have been underway

 since 1990 and are being restored.

Jan.-Feb.  09:00-17:00

Mar.-May 09:00-18:00

Jun.-Aug. 09:00-18:30

Sep.-Oct. 09:00-18:00

Nov.-Dec. 09:00-17:00

 

[ Closed Days ]

Every Tuesday

 

 

[ Admission Fee ]

Adult (9-64) 3,000KW 

Child (7-18) 1,500KW

 

 

 [ Free Admission ]

- Children (under 7 years old)
 - Seniors (over 65 years old)
- Those wearing a Hanbok

(traditional Korean clothes)

 - Last Wednesday of every month

(Culture Day)

The palaces and Jongmyo Royal Shrine

are easy to reach by subway or

Seoul Sity Tour Bus B.

 

Exit 5 of Gyeongbokgung Station

 ② Deoksugung Palace 

 

[Deoksugung Palace]

Deoksugung Palace

 is the last palace in the Joseon Dynasty

and also the only palace where the 

tradition and the modern architecture

coexist among the five old palaces.

 

When the Gyeongbok Palace was 

destroyed by the Japanese Invasion, 

King Seonjo used it as a palace.

 

 

 

[Deoksugung Palace]

It is recommended to visit Seogjojeon, 

the first western-style building that was

 the emperor's empire's premises.

 

 

 

[Deoksugung Palace]

Three times every day, 

Deoksugung Palace Royal guard

 gate turn ceremony is held.

 Changdeokgung Palace

 is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with

 the most original and well preserved

 palace among 3 palaces.

nature is highly appreciated.

10 minutes on foot from exit 6 of

Jongro 3 ga station (line 1,3,5)
